Tree of War

Long time ago when the warriors went to battle their families went to a sacred tree and hung a piece of cloth with their name in belief of their safe return home. The war kept growing for years and so did the tree until it eventually grew out of the memories of the people who once believed in it. Perhaps the warriors didn't return after all and yet the tree forever carries their names of those who never returned.
